Altar Servers The Guild of St Stephen
Children’s Altar Server Ministry, is a beautiful tradition shared across our St John’s and St Joseph’s communities. This special ministry invites our young people to step into the heart of the liturgy, serving the Lord at His altar with reverence and joy. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to grow deeper in their faith, discover the beauty of the Mass, and become actively involved in the life of our parish family. If your child feels called to serve, we would love to welcome them. Please contact the Parish Office to find out more. |
Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister
As Christians, we are all called to love and serve God’s people. Becoming an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is a profound way to live out this calling, sharing the very heart of our faith with others. In this beautiful ministry, you may be asked to distribute Holy Communion at Mass, but your care will also reach far beyond the church walls. By visiting the sick and housebound, you bring Christ's comforting presence directly to them, offering a gentle reminder that they remain deeply cherished and never forgotten by their parish family. |

Hospitality Usher
An usher is responsible for welcoming and assisting parishioners before and during Mass. This includes directing people to their seats, handing out bulletins order of service and hymn books, answering any questions that people may have. The role of the usher is one of hospitality and warm welcome as they are the first point of contact for many people who are visiting the church. |
Music Ministry
Our music ministry is built up from our talented choristers who lead the congregation in the singing of hymns and other liturgical music during Mass. The role of the chorister is to help create a sense of unity and participation among the congregation during the Mass. Musicians are also needed to share their talent God has given them. |
If you feel you are being called to assist in any of the above ministries then please contact us at [email protected]
