Preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation
Our two Catholic Parishes in Banbury offer different ways in which children can be prepared for the sacraments.
If your child attends one of our two Parish Catholic primary schools, the sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation take place through the RE Curriculum at school. For children not attending a Catholic school, we offer parish preparation courses.
The typical age when it is time to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion is usually in year 3 at school and Confirmation is usually in year 6.
Applications forms for first Holy Communion can be collected after mass on the weekends of the 20th and 27th October 2024.
For confirmation a date has yet to be decided for confirmations in 2025, once we can confirm this application form will be available.
Dates for application forms will appear on the newsletter in due corse.
