Preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation
Our two Catholic Parishes in Banbury offer different ways in which children can be prepared for the sacraments.
If your child attends one of our two Parish Catholic primary schools, the sacramental preparation for Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation take place through the RE Curriculum at school. For children not attending a Catholic school, we offer parish preparation courses.
The typical age when it is time to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion is usually in year 3 at school and Confirmation is usually in year 6.
Applications forms for first Holy Communion can be collected after mass on the weekends during the autumn for Holy communion during the following year
Confirmations are set yearly and dependent on availability of the area bishop. confirmation application forms will be available once a date has been fixed
Dates for application forms will appear in the newsletter in due course.
