Parish Safeguarding Representatives
Each parish in the Archdiocese has to nominate a person who is responsible to the Child Protection Agency for the clearance of everyone who, in the course of their work for the parish, has contact with children or vulnerable adults. This involves the completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Form and the Parish Safeguarding Representative examining certain documents to validate a person's identity. The DBS Form is then sent to the Criminal Records Bureau for checking.
Contacting the Parish Safeguarding Representatives
The Safeguarding Representative is also the point of contact for anyone who has any concerns over the safety of children or vulnerable adults within the parish.
Each parish has a parish Safeguarding Representative and they may be contacted in complete confidentiality through the contact telephone number which can be found on the parish newsletter.
The Parish Safeguarding Representative for St John's Church is Nicola Mollard.
The Parish Safeguarding Represenative for St Joseph's Church is Eileen Bristoll.
